Presented to Dike of Rutland - at laying of foundation stone of Ilkeston Town Hall
On leaving the Church his Grace's attention was directed by Mr Mundy to Sergeant Ash, who
was mounted on his favourite charger, which had served him at Balaclava, Inkermann, &c, &c.
The Sergeant wore his good conduct medal in addition to medals for service.
